On a recent day trip to London, we managed to pop in briefly to the Wallace Collection. Its current exhibition is 'Sir Richard Wallace: The Collector', which celebrates the birth 200 years ago of the museum’s founder, Sir Richard Wallace. This lovely
piece is a gold trophy head from Asante (Ghana) in the 18th or 19th century and was acquired by Wallace in 1874.
