Beautiful. Extremely crowded. Get the skip the line passes to see the Musei Vaticano, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Take water with you as it is very humid inside with all the crowds.

Get the audio tour. Besides being super informative about the Vatican museums, it gives you a really good insight into Michelangelo's process in constructing the ceiling. Worth every euro and more.

Follow the tour groups through their exit to the right (at the end of the chapel) to jump the queue to St Peter’s Basilica. It’s like using the warp pipes in Super Mario Brothers.

If you want to go to St Peter's Basilica after Sistine Chapel, follow the tour groups to the right. Don't exit from the left to go back to the entrance area of Vatican Museum.

It's beautiful but crowded, cannot relax at all as the guards and speakers keep screaming NO PHOTOS. Go to the right door after to enter St. Peter's thus skipping the line from the square
