Every Sunday, from 7 pm to 7.30 pm, Mysore Palace turns into an illuminated icon of the city. It is really an exhilarating experience to watch the illuminated palace.

Beautiful building but you're constantly herded through like cattle (actually, I bet you'd be treated better if you were cattle). Floors are clean and lots of fun people to chat with at least.

Leave your camera at the free camera deposit counter. If they later find it in your bag at the entrance (they xray scan it), you have to walk all the way back to deposit.

The iconic Palace in India. Must visit if you're in Mysore and also during the Dasara Festival. Take a official tour guide here. They'll charge Rs. 250 for a group.
